The Texas Rangers' woes continue. As the losses continue to pile up, the Rangers are burying themselves deeper, leading to a disappointing season. With the MLB All-Star Game about a month away, the Rangers are reaching that crucial moment: turn things around immediately or face the consequences.
With a record well below .500, a significant number of injuries, and inconsistency, the Rangers are not in a good place. The Seattle Mariners comfortably lead the American League West, and the Houston Astros have caught up with the Rangers, so the defending World Series champions' playoff hopes are diminishing further. Texas is ten games behind Seattle.
The Rangers just lost their series at home against the New York Mets. Last week, they were swept by the Mariners in Seattle. Before being in Seattle, the Rangers won their series against the Dodgers in Los Angeles. This month, Texas has won only two of the six series they've played in, meaning that the team's inconsistency is their biggest problem aside from injuries.
Texas has a three-game series at home against Kansas City before going on the road again. If the Rangers fail to win their series against the Royals, their record will regress, and their playoff hopes will diminish further. There's no more time to waste. The Texas Rangers need to turn things around, and the time to do it is now.
