SAN FRANCISCO- What a scene at the Chase Center on Tuesday night. Not even four minutes into a scoreless game, after a physical rebounding effort by Rudy Gobert, Jaden McDaniels, and Klay Thompson got into a scuffle just past mid-court. Gobert ran to McDaniels' defense, and Draymond Green jumped into the brawl in defense of Thompson. Green caught the broadcast and the nation by storm, putting Gobert's cowardly French self in a chokehold, nullifying him completely. Within seconds of the chokehold, Gobert threw up a white flag, the historical signal of surrender.
Despite Gobert’s seemingly valiant efforts to defend a comrade in battle, he instead continued the storied tradition of the French sucking absolute butt in combat. World War II? LOL. World War I? Decimated. French-Indian War? I honestly don’t know how that ended, but I will assume the natives won. Allies to America in the Revolutionary War? Come on, guys; We had it handled.
There may be a new Napoleon movie coming out soon in theaters, but don’t let that distract you from the fact that the French sucks at fighting, and thanks to Rudy Gobert, it shouldn’t be difficult to remember.
If you are French and reading this and are angry, we’ll… don’t lose your head.
Oops. Wrong historical reference… I’ll save that for another article.
