The Dallas Cowboys have had it easy as far as their schedule goes for most of the season. But now, the fun and games are over. With the season's hardest phase just around the corner, the Dallas Cowboys need to step it up and play sublime football. Dak Prescott & Company are 8-3, but they're not close to a playoff birth. The challenges ahead will prove if Dallas is for real or not.
Dallas currently has a 13-game winning streak at home. They've blown out their last three opponents. Six of their seven wins have been at least 20 points. Despite their record and how they've played, Dallas can't be regarded as a Super Bowl contender. The reason is that every team Dallas has beaten has a losing record. In addition, Dallas has lost to two of the NFL's top teams (San Francisco and Philadelphia), so it's no exaggeration that Dallas is not Super Bowl material.
Dallas faces Seattle next week. The Seahawks are on a two-game losing streak, and they're 1-3 in their last four games, including a 37-3 loss to Baltimore. In addition, they suffered a 31-13 loss at home against San Francisco on Thanksgiving. With Seattle coming in with a 6-5 overall record and 2-3 on the road, this is a very winnable game for Dallas.
Dallas is in a must-win situation with the Eagles coming into Arlington the following week after Seattle, against both Seattle and Philadelphia. Honestly, every game moving forward is a must-win; therefore, Dallas needs to be ready to go.
If Dallas intends to prove their legitimacy, the time is now. A win against Seattle, Philadelphia, Buffalo, and Miami will make a statement. However, it's up to Dallas whether they'll earn the wins.
