As I said in last week’s game article, it was make-up or break-up for Derek Carr and Saints fans. Last week against the Colts, Carr had easily his best game of the season, converting on 19 of 27 passes for 310 yards and two touchdowns. I don’t want this to be the last we see of this type of performance. Carr cannot go back to those Dalton-level performances. As the season goes on, he gets better, so this trend has to continue throughout the rest of the year. During this next game against the Bears, Carr better show out. The Tyson Bagent-led Bears will rank just as Chicago’s starting quarterback did in college: from college football’s second division to second place against the Saints.

Prediction:
This Saints defense does not disappoint at home. I don’t want them to underestimate the undrafted rookie quarterback the Bears have leading their team, but I do want them to intimidate him. I have a feeling this Bears offense will not produce against the Saints defense at home. The last game was not great for Bagent. He threw two picks against the Chargers defense, and it won’t be any different in New Orleans. I hope the Saints poke the bear and tear this Chicago team apart. I have my Saints improving to 5-4 on the season and continue down the road to the postseason.
