Houston Hopes to Extinguish the Fire Called the Sizzling Saints

When Bill Belichick thought his 35-point loss to the Cowboys was bad enough, the Saints knocked at the door, hitting the Pats with a 34-point shutout by New Orleans. With the Saints finding major success on the road in New England, they now look to emulate that same success as they visit the Texans in Houston. Texans starting quarterback C.J. Stroud has been on fire this season. He currently sits within the top five in passing yards for the season. Can this Saints defense record Stroud’s first interception of his young career, or will Stroud remain perfect on the season?

Prediction

If you have read my weekly predictions, I’ve never been one to go with the team that’s favored to win purely because they’re “favored to win.” Out of pure bias and because I think the Saints are the better team, I’m inclined to go with them for my prediction this week. I believe this Saints defense will wear out the Texans’ offense but, in turn, also become worn out. Because I feel the defense will be on the field for the majority of the game, they will allow the Texans to put up some points. I think C.J. Stroud will add another touchdown to his counter, but I’m indifferent to whether he will throw a pick. I believe my Saints have this road game in the bag again and will become 4-2 on the season.
