Coach Bruce Mock Draft 1 of 1

Listen. I get it. You haven't read much from me in a while. I've missed you too. Saying that, let me set a few parameters for you in my version of this mock draft.

  • I did take into account team needs

  • Tried to keep MOST of my bias out

  • To go along with the theme many others have, no trades

  • Let's have some fun being wrong.

Cue the NFL Draft chimes!

  1. Tennessee Titans - Cam Ward - QB - Miami

Let's not over complicate things here. The Will Levis era comes to and end. Ward is the best QB prospect in this draft.

  1. Cleveland Browns - Travis Hunter - WR/CB - Colorado

The Browns need a lot of help. Adding a guy who plays both WR/CB can help fill some of those holes. Especially after saying he'd rather quit football than play one or the other.

  1. New York Giants - Abdul Carter - Edge - Penn St.

Arguably the best player in the draft. The Giants get their star pass rusher that they haven't had since Michael Strahan.

  1. New England Patriots - Will Campbell - OT - LSU

Don't buy all the hype with the arms. The Patriots have their QB in Drake Maye and now they need to protect him. Campbell fits the bill.

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars - Mason Graham - DL - Michigan

With Graham being on the board still is criminal. The team, now, being put together by James Gladstone and Liam Coen rejoice in a celebratory "duvaaaaaaal"!

  1. Las Vegas Bradys.... I mean Raiders - Ashton Jeanty - RB - Boise St.

In a RB deep draft, Jeanty rises above being drafted by the Raiders. Find their best RB since Bo Jackson? Marcus Allen? Josh Jacobs?

  1. New Yorks Jets - Tetairoa McMillan - WR - Arizona

New York gets their young receiver to help evaluate their QB project in FIelds. It's like we've heard that story before.....

  1. Carolina Panthers - Armand Membou - OT - Missouri

Bryson Young started to get comfortable settling in at the end of the season last year. Panthers get a stud anchor on their offensive line in Membou.

  1. New Orleans Saints - Shedeur Sanders - QB - Colorado

Despite Carr being able to lift his arm up to drive in local car commercials, the Saints will turn to Sanders to fill the QB need in New Orleans. Don't worry Saints fans, Taysom Hill is still on the roster. wink wink

  1. Chicago Bears - Kelvin Banks Jr. - OT - Texas

The Bears continue to improve their line in drafting All American Banks. Never again to allow their franchise QB to be sacked 68 times.

  1. San Fransisco 49ers - Jahdae Barron - CB - Texas

In my opinion, college football's BEST corner goes to a team in need of help at the position.

  1. Dallas Cowboys - Will Johnson - CB - Michigan

Will Johnson comes to the Cowboys as their bookend CB w/ Diggs. Many look at him as the best CB in the draft.

  1. Miami Dolphins - Tyler Warren - TE - Penn St.

What's a QBs best friend? A tight end that can catch the ball over the middle and block. Warren provides them both.

  1. Indianapolis Colts - Colston Loveland - TE - Michigan

Colts are in need of a lot. One of those needs is a TE. Loveland helps provide receiver numbers in hopes to help develop Richardson.

  1. Atlanta Falcons - Jihadd Campbell - LB - Alabama

With Campbell, the Falcons may grab the best linebacker in the draft.

  1. Arizona Cardinals - Walter Nolen - DL - Ole Miss

Another SEC stud defensive lineman gets drafted to the Cardinals. It's been since 2021 that the Cardinals picked a defensive player in the 1st round.

  2. Cincinatti Bengals - Malaki Starks - S - Georgia

At some point, the cupboards need to be filled at the position. Battle and Stone have done well but Starks will be an upgrade.

  3. Seattle Seahawks - Emeka Egbuka - WR - Ohio St.

After losing Metcalf and letting Lockett walk, the Seahawks get the WR with the best hands in the draft.

  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Kenneth Grant - DL - Michigan

Perhaps the steal of the draft, the Bucs snag a high impact, high motor player in Grant.

  1. Denver Broncos - Matthew Golden - WR - Texas

Broncos are out here helping their QB, Nix, by drafting Golden. The fastest receiver in the draft, can Nix out throw that speed from Golden?

  2. Pittsburgh Steelers - Mike Green - Edge - Marshall

Could be a bit of a project but will have quick impact especially having Watt on the opposite side.

  1. Los Angeles Chargers - Donovan Ezeiruaku - Boston College - Edge

While Mack is back, it's time to find a pass rush replacement to take over in the next 2 years.

  2. Green Bay Packers - Luther Burden III - Missouri - WR

Love and the Packers FINALLY get help in the first round at a skill position in Burden III.

  3. Minnesota Vikings - Josh Simmons - OT - Ohio St.

Not often do you see a Ohio St. player protect a Michigan player in Minnesota. Simmons is a beast and will help on the first snap in camp.

  4. Houston Texans - Grey Zabel - OT/OG - North Dakota St.

With Simmons going the pick before, the Texans go get the swiss army knife of the draft by getting Zabel.

  1. Los Angeles Rams - Jalon Walker - LB - Georgia

Butkus Award winner goes to the Rams trying to bolster their defense.

  2. Baltimore Ravens - James Pearce Jr. - Edge - Tennessee

Some character issues have come up on Pearce. Scouts have also indicated there are things that need to be shored up on his form but he goes to a team that can handle that. Defensive Coordinator, Zach Orr, looking forward to this potential gem of a project.

  1. Detroit Lions - Elic Ayomanor - WR - Stanford

Elic brings an absolute resume to the Lions on an already scary offensive team.

  1. Washington Commanders - Omarion Hampton - RB - North Carolina

A backfield of Hampton and Daniels would cause chaos in the NFC East.

  1. Buffalo Bills - Trey Amos - Ole Miss - CB

Sneaking into the 1st round is Trey Amos after a strong showing at the NFL Combine.

  2. Kansas City Chiefs - Shemar Stewart - LB - Texas AM

A defense that was strong last year gets stronger with Stewart falling to them as the Chiefs sprint to the mic to draft Stewart.

  3. Philadelphia Eagles - Mykel Williams - DE - Georgia

Another Georgia product makes his way to a Fangio led defensive line.

Looking forward to all these being wrong and more teams to be making trades to completely mess with the order of the draft.

You can catch NFL Draft coverage by the whole TDT Media team this week as they visit Lambeau Field.

Until next time....
